Welcome to Publishing for Gimkit Creative!
People all over the world can play games you build. Pretty cool, right?
Of course, this comes with an important job: helping us keep Gimkit safe and fun for everyone.
We've made some rules to make this job easy. If you break the rules, your account could get banned forever. Please read these rules carefully and make sure to follow them.
Thanks so much for your help and have fun!
Overview
Before you publish a game make sure the answer to each of these 5 questions is yes:
- Does my game follow the below Community Rules and Gimkit Content Guidelines?
- Is everything in my game kind and respectful to everyone?
- Am I sure that no one, including me, could be hurt or harmed by anything in my game?
- Is my game free of all hateful, bullying, rude, offensive, or targeting content?
- Could my teacher put my game up on their projector in front of the entire school?
And that's it - super simple, right?
Publishing the games you've worked hard on is an amazing opportunity. Don’t mess it up by making a bad decision.

Consequences
Gimkit is a game for K-12 students. So, breaking these rules could mean you get permanently banned. That's a serious thing. It means you'll lose access to Gimkit, your rewards and cosmetics, all of the Maps you've made, and everything else in your account. Let's keep things fun and follow the rules!
Living Document
These Community Rules are not final and may change over time. Check back often to stay up to date. “But, I didn’t know…” is not a good excuse. We’re all here to have fun, create, share, and enjoy great games!
That’s All!
