In this release, we bring over some of the exciting new systems we introduced in our new game mode, Dig It Up!

  • NEW: Dynamic Terrain
    • 8 new terrains are available to use in Top-Down and Platformer maps
      • Dynamic Dirt
      • Dynamic Sand
      • Dynamic Stone
      • Dynamic Copper
      • Dynamic Silver
      • Dynamic Gold
      • Dynamic Ruby
      • Dynamic Diamond
    • When placed as wall, Dynamic Terrains are destructible and buildable in-game! This allows you to create maps where plays can create and destroy builds! You can use this mechanic to make combat maps where players build cover, or Capture The Flag maps where teams try to protect their flag with builds.
    • In Platformer maps, you can disable the Allow Floating Dynamic Builds option. If you disable this, then dynamically placed terrain must be attached to a solid surface. If it becomes detached, it and all dynamic terrain attached to it will get destroyed.
    • Dynamic Terrain can be placed on your map manually, and you can also grant it to players as an item for them to place on your map. Dynamic Terrains can stack up-to 50.
  • NEW: Pickaxe Gadget
    • The Pickaxe gadget goes hand in hand with the Dynamic Terrain update! While any gadget can damage Dynamic Terrain, if you destroy Dynamic Terrain with a Pickaxe, you will be granted that terrain as an item!
    • While the Pickaxe can deal PvP damage, note that this is not intended nor recommended. Damaging players with the pickaxe is inconsistent and we may entirely remove PvP damage from the Pickaxe in the future.
    • Pickaxes use a new durability system in which they do not require any resource to use, but lose some durability after each hit. Infinite Durability is a new option in Map Options and is enabled by default.
  • Previously, the Vending Machine device had a wire option for “When purchase failed”, but not a channel option. Now it has both!
  • You can now place up-to 400 text devices on a map
  • The Barrier Device can now be made much taller and wider than before
  • Usable Items
    • Consumable Items have been renamed to Usable Items to support items such as Dynamic Terrain and healing items like Shield Cans.
    • Fixed an issue where the amount of Usable Items was incorrectly shown while spectating.
  • Mobile platforming controls have been significantly upgraded. You can now continue to move even when nearby something you can interact with.
  • Improved load times when starting a game
